My name is Veronica Yoshida and I began Southern Gold Leaf Cakes as a home-based business in 2008. Our motto at Southern Gold Leaf Cakes is "Cake is our Passion!" and it's absolutely true. Our passion is cake and making cake your way. Whether your needs are small and intimate, large and formal or fun and festive we will create a cake as unique as you. We believe that every cake should not only look fabulous but taste even better. We encourage consultations and tastings so that we can focus on your individual needs for flavor and design.
Southern Gold Leaf Cakes is a custom cake bakery. We do not have ready made or frozen cakes on hand. We cannot take orders that are for one hour pick-up or same day delivery. Each cake is made to order and design each and every time. For this reason we require a minimum of one week for each order to ensure your date is available.
We are located in Durham, North Carolina and convenient to Chapel Hill, Raleigh and Hillsborough but we will deliver where ever our cakes take us. We cater to weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, Quinceanera, birthdays, groom's cake, corporate events, and parties of all kinds.
When contacting us please make sure to include:
- Your name
- Event date, location and time, number of guests
- the best phone number to reach you and the best time to do so
- preferences of flavors and style
- any other information you feel important for us to know
When leaving voice mail please speak slowly and clearly. We do prefer emails after 9pm.
