Your consultation is the most important first step; sitting down with your cake designer and expressing your ideas for your cake.  It's a good idea to bring any photos, sketches, magazines, invitations, color swatches or anything else that generates ideas you would like to see in your cake - whatever helps your express yoru thoughts.  This is your opportunity to ask questions, discuss your options and know that you are completely comfortable with your design decisions.

 

Weddings

One of the most important days of your life.  Your choice of dress, venue, flowers - everything you plan refelcts your style and personality.  Your wedding cake should be no different.  Has you dream cake always been a tall, multi-tiered confection covered in flowers and ribbons?  Do you envision a themed cake that defies the norm?  Looking for individula desserts or cakes or even a variety of reception cakes so tha tyour guests get a wonderful surprise from table to table?  there is no limit to what we can create especially for you.

 

Birthdays

Whether your are celebrating your child's first birthday or granddad's 100th, or maybe even your own, a birthday is a celebration!  From sheet cakes to sculpted, themed or not, we will make sur eth tayou get a delicious treat fo ryou special day. 

 

Almost any event you can name - anniversaries, holidays, baby showers, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, groom's cakes - everything is better with cake.

 

 

What to expect

Your consultation includes samples of  your choice from our selection of cakes, frosting and fillings.  I will ask questions, we'll browse sketches and photos, and together we'll design your cake.  Any follow up sketches or questions will be emailed for final approval before any work begins.  You will be provided wiht an estimate that is good for 3 weeks and preliminary contract outlining your creation.

 

Please know that a consultation can take as little as 20 minutes or more than an hour.  Because your time is valuable, I want to be thorough and as efficient as possible. For this reason I prefer to keep the number of guests attending your consultation small, usually a toatl of four people.  Please let me know at that the time of your scheduling how many people will be attending so that I may plan accordingly.  All my cakes, including my samples, are fresh  baked so you always receive the best. 

 

A minimum of 40% is due when signing your contract.  This fee goes towards your final deposit and is the only way to hold your date.
